Operating principle

In the VAPOBLOC enthalpy heat exchanger, water vapor molecules pass through the polymer membrane, allowing humidity transfer without cross-contamination. In winter, the supply air is humidified using humidity from the exhaust air. Particles, odors, viruses, and bacteria are fully retained, ensuring hygienic operation during both humidity and heat recovery.

Low indoor humidity causes the mucous membranes in the respiratory tract to dry out more quickly, weakening the body’s natural defense mechanisms against bacteria and viruses.
